That will work Arnold, but that's temporarily and will revert
back to default when you leave the site. ;-) A more permanent
solution would be to do to the "Accessibility wizard" (see
below) and change the fonts to a larger size in it at every
area you can, and go into the Display Properties, then
"Settings", "Advanced", then the "General" tab and set the
fonts to 120dpi. These methods will make fonts EVERYWHERE
larger permanently. This is within Windows, and on the net.

Tom & Ann, XP has a built-in magnifier in the "Accessibility
wizard". Programs> Accessories> Accessibility> Accessibility
Wizard. There you can setup the "Microsoft Magnifier" which
makes fonts and anything else MASSIVE. It's just like moving a
magnifying glass over the screen, in fact it IS a virtual
magnifying glass.

Ann there's some new ophthalmological laser procedures out
that can help Central Retinal Vein Occlusion.

If you're not on any blood thinning medication, you should
start taking Aspirin (80mg daily for about two weeks then 2x
80mg), Bilberry, Lutein, Lycopene, Vitamin A, and Omega 3, 6 &
9 fatty acids for starters. If you are on some blood thinning
medication like heparin, Wafarin/coumadin or similar, let me
know off-list. If you're not, the Dr's may have you start to
take one of those along with some type of cortico-steroidal
anti-inflammatory.

Paste this just like it is into any search engine supporting
the "OR" operator and check them out:

Central Retinal Vein Occlusion treatments OR treatment OR cure

Here's a few pages I found:
http://www.avclinic.com/retinal_vein_occlusion.htm
http://www.mvretina.com/education/8b.html
http://www.mvretina.com/education/13a.html
http://www.bmgnri.com/eyehealth/BRVO01.htm (Branch and Central)
http://www.naturaleyecare.com/diseases.asp?d_num=26
(Interesting area there under "Self help").

That is of course if you can see them after you try what I
suggested. If you can't let us know.

Make sure your blood pressure is kept low, along with your
blood sugar levels. I assume you've already been checked for
glaucoma.

REMEMBER, Dr's know far from everything and it's your
responsibility to do your own research to insure you get the
best treatment. Any questions just contact me off-list.

Didn't mean to get OT, but that info could help a lot of
people.

(Guys, please remember to remove the footers on your replies!)

In Windows and almost every web site on the Internet, if you
have a mouse
with the center wheel, simply hold down the Ctrl button and
move the center
wheel on the mouse toward the top and the type size will
increase. The most
this can cost is a new mouse.

Good luck in getting your sight restored.

Hi Ann,

I don't know what might come with the Windows operating
system to magnify the screen. However, there are products
available to do this although kind of expensive.

I am a blind person who uses a screen reader and the company
that produces the software I use also sells a screen
magnifier. There is a trial version available. Information

I certainly wish you well in regaining your sight.
