Once you archive it, you can always get it back by going to
File>Open>Personal Folder....it's just another pst (usually called
archive.pst)

Thanks for the info, Linda. Sorry it took so long to respond. I went
to
bed right after posting my message and then went out of town yesterday
and
today. Ok, what you explain about Outlook is about what I assumed but
never
knew for sure. I didn't know about the magic 2gb number. I just
checked
and mine is only 365 mb so I'm ok there. I've not archived any email.
I
figured if I ever packed it away somewhere I'd never get it back out,
lol.
