Hi Terry, I did that and the modem is installed properly but when I use the New Connection Wizard, it only gives me the Broadband option. I also went to Start, Network Connections and the only thing listed there is the Local Area Connections. Oh for the simple days of 98SE. LOL Thanks, Polly ----- Original Message ----- From: "DavisUnit" <davist@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: <pctechtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, August 21, 2003 9:11 AM Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Re: Windows XP/Dial-up Connection > GulfbreezeAvon wrote: > > >I have a Dell system and running Windows XP. > >Yesterday, the electricity went off, came on and went off again. When I use the wizard, the only option I have is Broadband which I don't have. :) I've tried going to the Administration and starting the Remote Access Connection Manager but keep getting an Error 711. > > > >Can someone tell me HOW to get a dial-up connection set up?
