But I don't think that it's a Norton problem. It appears to be an issue with XP 
as XP won't 
allow scheduled tasks without a logged in session. But I think that Troth is 
correct in 
suggesting using Tweakui's feature of auto logon. That should save you from 
having 
you to type in your name/pass to log on each time you start WinXP
