Before this set of speakers, what I've been accustomed to was the volume
control on one of the speakers. This Bose set up has three wires coming from
the sub-woofer, up to my desk. One each for the pair of speakers, and one for
the control pod.
The pod has a touch pad for muting, as well as a plug for headphones,
and a plug for a mic.
The speaker wire has fixed.
