An easy way to accomplish what you want to do...

When you get your new computer, remove the original hard drive with the data
on it from the old computer.  Reset the jumpers to make it a slave, and then
plug it in to your new computer in the second hard drive position.  Move the
data to the new computers harddrive and you can then remove the old drive
and put your 90GB drive in its place.
