Greetings G, I printed Disastar's suggestion & went to the computer to get the answers to his questions when it occurred me to see if "System Restore" would take his computer back to before his grand daughter played with it. It worked! System Restore is always an option...why is it that I never remember to use it? OK, with the seniors taken care of, I will now begin to work with your lengthy instructions on using my external back up. Thanks Jan ----- Original Message ----- From: Gman To: pctechtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Sunday, March 01, 2009 3:29 PM Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Re: IP address in conflict Ok, try Disastar's Winsock suggestion first. You can do that remotely and it will tell you if that's the problem. It's an easy fix if it is and you can probably do that remotely, too.
