Hi Rick, I still have a large red pin-on button that I've had since high school that reads "Question Authority". I tell my music students (& anyone else who asks) that it has several meanings including: 1. When you're told that things are supposed to be a certain way, ask why. The answers may teach you more than the original instruction. 2. When you've received incomplete information, probe deeper into the subject until you gain full understanding. 3. Nothing is "Set in stone". Everything is negotiable and you have every right to ask for what you believe you deserve (including a raise at work). 4. Healthy skepticism can go a long way towards making sure you get what you pay for. This applies to goods as well as government representation. 5. Live with your eyes wide open. You'll enjoy the scenery without missing too much. There's more of them, but you get the idea. I try my best to live by these same standards I've tried to impress upon my students over the years. :O) Peace, GMan "The only dumb questions are the ones that are never asked!" ----- Original Message ----- From: "DH (Rick) Holmes" <hayvan2@xxxxxxxxxx> To: <pctechtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>Sent: Saturday, May 26, 2007 7:36 PM Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Re: Hard Drive Recommendations... > GMan, the complete reference of yours, below and abridged, is an > excellent statement of what I believe to be the facts as they apply to > virtually everything in life.
