Evelyn,
Is it just one CD that is not recognised, or all CDs? Both pressed CD and
burned CDRs?
If it's a combo CD/DVD player/burner, does it accept DVDs?
You can try to upgrade the firmware, available from the manufacturer's
website. If you get the correct upgrade, no harm is done even if it doesnt
fix the problem.
