Thanks Don:
Thanks for the response
Have try EVERYTHING and nothing works.=20
Have uninstalled Nero three times.. Grrrrrrr.
Have you notice how many fixes in our computers?=20
I have 44 fixes in my PC.. Go figure!!!
If WE treated our patients, clients with the disrespect this company =
treat us, we would be out of a job and with so many lawsuits we will =
never recover. Grrrrrrrrrrr.
Have a great day my friend.
Hugs Evelyn

If your description of your problem is acurrate, then I would be =
inclined to=20
say no. (The hotfix is for a problem that is described as "programs=20
unexpectedly stop during initialization without providing any error=20
messages". Your problem is described as "there is no way that Nero or =
XP=20
recognize that the CD is inserted". These are two very distinctly =
different=20
problems.)
Windows Update KB917422 was issued in August of 2006. If you run update =
as=20
regularly as you should, it was probably installed several months ago.=20
Unless you delayed installing it until recently or your problem started=20
months ago, then I would be inclined to say no.
If you rolled your system back to a restore point before the problem =
started=20
and the problem went away then I would be inclined to say that the "LAST =
FIX" is the culprit. If the LAST FIX is the update in question I would =
be=20
inclined to say yes.
I do not think it would do any harm to install the hotfix in any case.
