Her operating system is XP. A few months ago when she first tried it she successfully created one. Now when she does the same routine it goes through the motions but it only goes half way & pops the CD out. Well, of course she thought she had a bad CD, so she put several in & none of them get to the end before the drawer pops out with useless CD's. She has gone through 7 of them with the same results. Does anyone have a suggestion? In order- 1-Get the V5 patch from the Roxio, Then Try again, leaving the PC alone as it burns making sure that the speed capability of disc is equal to or exceeds the speed you intend to burn at (If your burner is faster than the discs you have, slow the burner speed down to suit) and if the drive has 'Burnproof' capability, turn it on. It may also be worth trying a different brand of disc-it shouldn't matter, but some drives are picky, or you may just have a bum batch of CD-r's Cheers Andy To unsub or change your email settings: //www.freelists.org/webpage/pctechtalk To access our Archives: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/PCTechTalk/messages/ //www.freelists.org/archives/pctechtalk/ For more info: //www.freelists.org/cgi-bin/list?list_id=pctechtalk
