Ed: Look at your manual get the serial number-- see if there is an update for the bios--got to your motherboard' site to check You can go to the Microsoft site -- it will tell you if you motherboard is compatible as I said before. There was one for my motherboard -- it solved all my problems including the hardrive issues.
