Thanks for your help. I am just getting into the swing of things healthwise so I am moving slow. The Microsoft article speaks about fdisk in Win98, however when I installed W2k I let the OS install itself on a partition of its making. Wouldn't that leave Win98 out of the pic? Maybe I should wipe the drive & install 2000 by itself after using Partition Magic to divide up the disk. If you think your suggestion will work I can try it. My concern is the Micro. article says to use this fix only if I am having the specified trouble & I don't think I am. Waddaya think? Ed --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
