Subject: Ask PAS

At the recent Rancho Gabriela school event held on May 1 several students
asked what we did. The usual replies were that we look at the stars, planets, etc. thru telescopes. Then one student asked, "Why?" As amateur astronomers I found it a difficult question to answer. If we were professionals it may have been easier to say why. So I thought I would pose this to you as an "Ask PAS."

"Why do we, as amateur astronomers, look at astronomical objects?"

Matt
