BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN RELEASES LIFE STORY FREEHOLD, N.J. (AP) Fans camped
out overnight in Bruce Springsteen's hometown to be the first to buy
his new autobiography from Springsteen himself. Springsteen made an
appearance yesterday at the Barnes and Noble in Freehold, New Jersey,
to promote his book, "Born To Run. Fans stood at least three hours in
line to spend about 15 seconds each with Springsteen. Barnes and Noble
says 2,000 copies were sold that day. DRONE SMACKS FLESH-N-BONE IN FACE
VICTORVILLE, Calif. (AP) Flesh-N-Bone of Bone Thugs-n-Harmony appears
to be OK after being nailed in the face with a drone while on stage.
The group was performing in Victorville, California, on Sunday when the
drone hit him. Flesh-N-Bone winced and grabbed his head, but he did not
stop the song. It's not certain who was operating the drone. PRINCE
MEMORIALS REMOVED AT PAISLEY PARK MINNEAPOLIS (AP) The memorials to
Prince that fans have put outside his Paisley Park estate are going
away. WCCO-TV in Minneapolis reports Paisley Park staffers have removed
items like artwork and flowers that have been outside the estate since
Prince died in April. The city of Chanhassen, Minnesota, and Paisley
Park management say the memorials are creating traffic problems and
risks to pedestrians. They have asked for fans not to put anything new
near the fence. Paisley Park will open for tours next week. JASON
ALDEAN WONDERS WHY HE WAS SHUT OUT OF CMAS NASHVILLE (AP) Jason Aldean
admits he likes to win. That's why he's confused he didn't get a single
nomination for this year's Country Music Association Awards. His new
album, "They Don't Know," was not eligible this year, but he could have
been nominated for entertainer of the year or male vocalist. Aldean
says it's weird he could be named the Academy of Country Music
entertainer of the year but get shut out of the CMAs. Aldean says any
nominee feels like he or she has a shot at winning, but if he can't get
enough votes for a nomination, he's definitely not going to win anyway.
BASTILLE GET KELLY LEBROCK'S HELP ON "GOOD GRIEF LONDON (AP) Even if
you have never seen "Weird Science," Bastille feel that Kelly LeBrock
brings a sense of familiarity to their song "Good Grief. LeBrock
quickly gave permission for Bastille to sample her for the song "Good
Grief. Singer Dan Smith says LeBrock even offered to come perform the
song with them at some point. Smith says he'd love to take her up on
that but "she seems to have changed her number since she said yes.
