BURT BACHARACH SUFFERS INJURY, CANCELS SHOWS LOS ANGELES (AP) Burt
Bacharach has a broken arm. Publicist Tina Brausam says Bacharach will
call off two concerts in September while he recovers. She did not know
how or when Bacharach broke his arm. Bacharach, who is 88, will resume

DEFEAT LOS ANGELES (AP) Attorneys for Robin Thicke and Pharrell
Williams are asking an appellate court to overturn a copyright
infringement verdict against them over the 2013 hit song "Blurred
Lines. A brief filed with a federal appeals court in Los Angeles claims
the case should never have gone to trial in the first place. And it
asks that the verdict be overturned or a new trial ordered. A jury last
year awarded Marvin Gaye's family more than $7 million after finding
that "Blurred Lines" illegally copied Gaye's old-school hit "Got to
Give It Up. The verdict was later reduced to $5.3 million. Sound:
