JONI MITCHELL GOES TO SEE CHICK COREA LOS ANGELES (AP) Joni Mitchell
has made a rare public appearance since she fell ill with a brain
aneurysm. Her website posted a photo of Mitchell attending a Chick
Corea concert in Los Angeles on Saturday. Mitchell suffered the
aneurysm in March 2015. ARETHA FRANKLIN ORDERED TO REST NEW YORK (AP)
Aretha Franklin is canceling some upcoming concerts in order to rest.
Franklin says in a statement she is under doctor's orders to call off
her shows for the next month. The concerts affected are Friday's show
outside Washington and a New York show on September 23. It also means
Franklin is dropping out of the "Tony Bennett Celebrates 90" show on
September 15 that's being taped in New York for a TV special in
December. She called off a show in Las Vegas last year because of
exhaustion. PRINCE - PROBE MINNEAPOLIS (AP) The investigation into
Prince's drug overdose death may lead to criminal charges being
charged. The reason for the focus on possible criminal activity is the
disclosure that some pills found at Prince's home and studio were
counterfeit and contained a powerful opioid. An official close to the
investigation told The Associated Press some of those pills were
mislabeled as a common generic painkiller but actually contained the
more powerful synthetic substance, fentanyl. That suggests that the
pills came to Prince illegally. It's unclear how he got the drugs or if
he knew the medications he had were produced illegally. Sound:
