ED SHEERAN SUED BY MARVIN GAYE SONGWRITER NEW YORK (AP) Ed Sheeran has
not commented on a lawsuit filed by the family of the co-writer of the
Marvin Gaye song "Let's Get It On" who claim Sheeran stole it for his
song "Thinking Out Loud. The lawsuit filed by the family of Ed Townsend
claims Sheeran copied the "heart" of "Let's Get It On" for "Thinking
Out Loud. They say Sheeran continues to perform the song even after he
was told of the copyright infringement last year. The family wants a
jury trial and compensation for damages. Townsend co-wrote the song
with Gaye, but Gaye's family is not involved in the lawsuit. The Gaye
family won a legal fight last year against Robin Thicke and Pharrell
Williams over the song "Blurred Lines. Sheeran was sued in June for
copyright infringement by two songwriters who claim he stole the song
