This comes from a friend of mine near Capetown South Africa. He has a lot of
American friends, and every year on this day he writes us a little note like
this. I just thought you’d like to read this one. His words start just below.
“Where were you when the world stopped turning on that September day?” – Alan
Jackson
To all my American friends: I’m thinking of you a lot today, not because of
the destruction of what was then one of the highest skyscrapers in the world,
but because of the lives that were lost and the impact it had on everybody all
over the world.
To those of you who may have lost loved ones that day, or know someone who did,
my heart goes out to you all. Let’s also remember the last few lines of the
Alan Jackson song:
“Faith, hope and love are some good things He gave us,
And the greatest is love.”
