Where do you expect SQL Server customers to run their databases?
Does Microsoft really have to perish for Linux to be successful?
That sounds like the marketing drive of a certain company I know.

Linux is ready for production because it is at the developmental
stage of good Unix derivates circa 1995. And believe me, there
was a lot of production Unix in 1995...that is the older generation
talking...
