Obviously, Oracle can do whatever it deems appropriate for it's business to
do.

But these servers were used specifically for "Postgres on Solaris".
So, Oracle could be interested in having more software available to run on
the OS (Solaris) that Oracle sells.  Unless, Oracle is planning to kill
Solaris.

Also, do you really think that Oracle sees Postgres as competitor?
