Well spoken Hans. Unfortunately some Oracle shops are required to slavishly 
follow governmental IT architectural standards that prohibit "all" business 
logic from residing in the database tier. Taken to an extreme, I can recall one 
particularly egregious over-interpretation of policy: Primary Keys were banned 
outright from all Oracle instances. Fortunately this is no longer the case. 
Surely a case of following the letter of the law rather than its spirit.
