The iPOD is no fad. It is simply the latest iteration of a means of =
portable entertainment to take with you whenever=20
and wherever you are.=20
Handel had musicians on a barge in the Thames floating alongside the =
King's barge and his entourage got to hear the famous "Water Music =
Suite" live.=20
Much later, electronic versions began with with huge battery operated =
tube radios in the 1920s and 30s, smaller tube radios in the 1940s and =
early 1950s, then progressed to tiny transistor radios in the late =
1950s, portable "walkman" cassette players in the 1960s, CDs and =
minidisks in the 1990s and now a tiny hard drive with a difficult to =
replace battery and flimsy headset which I somehow get the honor of =
repairing for all the kids at work!!! Portable entertainment will be =
around forever. They just need to make the headsets more substantial...

 The iPod
>is a fad that will only keep the public interest
