See: http://www.tomshardware.com/business/200504191/index.html
where it says:
"Optically, the camcorder is top notch. It uses three 1/3 inch CCDs that
record at 16:9 natively. The CCDs are 1.1 megapixels each."

And on the next page:
"The following recording resolutions are supported:
720 X 480 pixel interlace or 24/30 progressive frames
1440 X 720 pixel interlace or 60/30/24 progressive frames
1920 X 1080 pixel interlace or 24/30 progressive frames."

I would guess that each of the 3 CCDs are 1440x720 pixels
then, with a few extra pixels on each edge for internal use.
This would also mean that the pixels are not square...

Maybe Craig would like to comment on this: 2 Mpix frames
from 1.1 Mpix sensors ? I know that it is plausible, but
how does one explain this to their customers ?

Best regards,
