Why not? For the reasons I stated earlier: Too many different broadcasters, too many different boxes, too much potential liability. I sure as heck doesn't want to be the broadcaster that distributes some bum code that makes all brand X boxes in my market go dark, and have all those viewers upset. I don't care how much the STB manufacturer paid me to carousel their data. In a closed system like USDTV, where you are assured of the universe of STBs, AND you control the transmission of data, AND you suffer the consequences if you lock up 10,000 boxes in a market, sure.
