TPV's current (and last) issue reviews these LED-lit DLPs. They agree
with you on the softer look, but they also say that they noticed "hot
spots." They say "mixed bag," in other words.

Are they exaggerating about hot spots? I really like the idea of doing
without the spinning wheel, myself. That seems so early-1950s.
