BUT
I just bought a Mini Maglite with the 3 watt LED. The light output is
unbelievable, especially considering the size and it only uses two AA
batteries.
The light output is better than ANY incandescent flashlight I have ever owned.
I strongly suspect that with enough LEDs one could make a viable
front projection display.
