Hendrik Herlyn, Oscar Harper, and Adrian Hinkle & I birded Saturday (4/19) in
Lincoln County.
Highlights:
Fall Creek Rd:
Hermit, Wilson's, Black-thr Gray, Orange-crowned, Yellow-rumped Warblers
American Dipper - 2
Grass Mountain (nw side; rain & wind off and on):
Mountain Quail - 3
Varied Thrush - 1
Eckman Lake:
Cinnamon Teal - 1 sleeping male
Eckman Slough:
Greater White-fronted Goose
Seal
Rock pullouts
Whimbrel - 4 on the beach
HMSC trail:
Semipalmated Plover - 1 (early?)
Whimbrel - 26
Merlin - 1 dark "Pacific" form
Western Scrub-Jay with a short tail (2 inches?)
