light, for about a half hour. May
have been a juvenile. Very golden-spangled topside and golden-spotted on
front. Yellowish
on face and throat. Tip of wings barely extending beyond end of tail.

- Comments: "Pretty sure just an early Dunlin vs a curlew sandpiper, but
lighting and distance made it difficult until bird moved south. Loosely
associating with many hundreds of peeps on the mudflats. Never saw the
rump. The remnants of the black belly were apparent on the bird’s right
side. There were also a few dark streaks on the flank. Morning light is
ideal from this location. Park here (45.7236,-122.7725) along Reeder Rd and
walk west along road and then south and then west again at the second
grassy opening with the matted down grass. Just over 1 mile in. Lots of wet
grass in the morning. Check tides here...
