- Comments: "Reported by Bill Proebsting yesterday. I turned east on first
crossroad from Camp Adair Rd and soon heard the distinctive "bob-White"
call. From that location I could hear more calls to the east and walked
that way, finally tallying 3 distinct birds calling. I never could see the
birds as they remained in the thick shrubs/trees."

- Comments: "Got an ebird alert via email. Came over to inspect. Originally
scoped out the eastern side of government cove; no luck. Drove westward on
herman creek, then stopped along the road. Glassed the western side and
spotted 3 western grebes perched on wooden pillars out in the middle of the
cove. What I saw compared to pictures out of several pieces of material was
exactly that. "

- Comments: "(Rare) Photos. Early. Two birds together at southwest corner
of first pond. One almost completely in nonbreeding plumage.
Small phalaropes exclusively swimming, much smaller than dowitchers and
rubber-ducky shaped (v. Wilson's). One with red nape, black crown and eye
stripe, the other with just black eye stripe. Both with black scalloped
backs. Thin bills."
