=20 If you have a pst file that has exceeded the 2GB limit, it will still not work if you open it in a newer version of Outlook. Outlook 2003 was the first version that allowed you to exceed the ANSI 2GB limit, but that is only for new type pst files created by Outlook 2003. If you imported a pst file created in an older version of Outlook, it is still bound by the 2 GB limit. You must create a new pst file in Outlook 2003 and then import the old pst file data into it.=20 When you create a pst file in Outlook 2003, it gives you two choices. You can create an "Office Outlook Personal Folders File (.pst)", which is a Unicode file or an "Outlook 97-2002 Personal Folders File (.pst)", which is an ANSI file. If you choose the Unicode file, the default limit is 20GB, but you can increase that substantially by making changes to the registry. Microsoft does not recommend an increase above 20GB because performance will decrease.=20 Parker Renaud "Not all who wander are lost" =20 Colliers Keenan is an independently owned and operated business and a member firm of Colliers International Property Consultants, an affiliation of independent companies with offices throughout more than 50 countries worldwide. -----Original Message----- From: mso-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:mso-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Linda F. In theory, though, it *should* work, but I would never recommend someone spend money on 2007 just to see if it works. If the pst is not opening in 2000 becuz it's too large, then yes, it should open in 2007 ... however, if there's another reason why the pst isn't opening in 2000, then it might not open in 2007 either. Since Robert never told us what the size of the pst is and he also never told us if he was able to run it thru the Inbox Repair Tool, I have NO idea if the pst is too large or corrupt, or what. ******************************* Linda F.
