We get this message work on various occasions. It usually means our Exchange Server is down, or the networks are having trouble communication with the exchange server or on occasion, it's a really really big attachment. Sorry, I don't know what fixes it, usually, at my location, time. Haven't run into any way to turn the message off. Thanks for that info, Dian. I was suspecting as much. I do have Word 97 installed on my laptop, but I haven't yet added a network card to my laptop so I can connect it to my cable internet connection so I couldn't test it out. So, thanks. If so, then I would right click on the images on the web page and choose Save Picture As and save them to your hard drive...then go into the Word document where the pictures are missing and click where you want to put a picture and go to the Insert Menu and choose Picture>From File and browse to the pic you saved on your hard drive. FYI, Linda, et. al. ... I had to put Office97 back on my system<ewwww> for a client, so I just testing it and yes, you're right Linda. This didn't work back them. I copied some stuff and tried Word 97 with no luck. Then opened 2000 and it works...so that's, obviously, the first version to recognize web images.
