John,

If you need help with a particular aspect of Normalization, please feel =
free to ask here.

As for a general description in Layman's terms, normalization is =
splitting your data into tables that refer directly (help define) to =
your primary key. =20

I could help a little better if I knew what you were working on. I =
could help tailor the example to fit your particular use.

James

Subject: [mso] Normalisation

Hello Group
For some years now I have had problems trying to understand =
normalisation in
database. I still cannot get my head around it. Is there anybody out =
there
that has some instructions that will help someone that is REAL BASIC =
when it
comes to understanding it. Wrong word to use as I understand what it is, =
I
just can't do it.

What I need is something that is in "Laymans" terms and a couple of
exercises to get me through it.

My most appreciative regards

John
