Hi John, in addition to the great link Linda sent, please check out this
link:

http://www.utteraccess.com/forums/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=accessfaq&Number=373096

The links it contains cover all aspects of normalization along with links
to tutorials and working examples. When I first learned there was even a
'normalization' I was so overwhelmed by technical discussions, and I'll say
right up front, some of the links in what I've posted here, are way over my
head, but there are also some very good explanations and samples. For me,
I found no one tutorial fit in my brain with understanding, there were bits
and pieces from several sources that seemed to click and finally they came
together a little better with time and use, so am hoping you will be able
to glean things that click for you, too. Good luck!

Hello Group
For some years now I have had problems trying to understand normalisation
in
database. I still cannot get my head around it. Is there anybody out there
that has some instructions that will help someone that is REAL BASIC when
it
comes to understanding it. Wrong word to use as I understand what it is, I
just can't do it.

What I need is something that is in "Laymans" terms and a couple of
exercises to get me through it.

My most appreciative regards

John
