As far as I know, when you go into Tools>Options and tell Outlook to save a
copy of sent mail in the Sent Items folder, this cannot be overridden by a
rule. If you turn this off, you have to turn it off for ALL mail, not just
mail sent to one specific person.

There may be a way to write a custom rule or a macro that deletes the mail
from the sent items after the copy is moved, but I wouldn't have a clue how
to do that.

Yes, that's what's happening, but there is no option to just move it to the
folder. The only thing I am able to do is move a copy to the specified
folder. Is there a way to keep it from being saved to the sent folder and
just move it to the specific folder?
