Ok...I'm looking thru Tools>Options and the only thing I can find that might
affect this is on the Calculation tab...make sure Automatic is checked and
Save external Linked values is checked.

Also....go to Tools>Autocorrect and make sure "Replace Text as you Type" is
checked on the Autocorrect tab and make sure "Internet and Network paths
with hyperlinks" is checked on the AutoFormat as you Type tab.

That's about all I can think of

Subject: [mso] Hyperlink Problem

We have an intern working with us who is creating a commercial office
properties Excel spreadsheet. Each property is supposed to have a hyperlink
to photos of the building stored on our network. The problem is that the
intern cannot create a hyperlink on her PC.

I can create a hyperlink in her spreadsheet which others can view, but she
cannot. If she makes changes to the spreadsheet and saves it, the hyperlinks
disappear. If I open it after she saves it, they are gone. The PC is a
Pentium 100, but it is running Windows 98SE and Office 2000. (What can I
say? Interns get the leftovers!)

I have run detect and repair in Excel 2000 and, believe me, you don't know
what slow is until you run detect and repair on a Pentium 100. I have also
cleaned out the system, temp files, etc.

Does anyone have any idea why this is happening and how to correct it?

Parker Renaud
