This is working consistently (breathe deep & knock wood), but I was thinking, if we can write something like this in a mergefield, couldn't we also write a left or right that works instead of an IF for each possibility? I've got in IF for Training, Operation, Freeform and three other possibilities as in the sample below, which makes for a pretty long string. So, how might I go about putting a Left,1 instead so I get the first character, even if we end up changing options in the future? {IF{MERGEFIELD Type} = "Training""T""{IF{MERGEFIELD Type} = "Operation""O"""}"} ************************************************************* You are receiving this mail because you subscribed to mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx or MicrosoftOffice@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To send mail to the group, simply address it to mso@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To Unsubscribe from this group, send an email to mso-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?Subject=unsubscribe Or, visit the group's homepage and use the dropdown menu.
