First, allow me to explain that, being associated with Microsoft, I am =
NOT
limited in ANYTHING I want to say! I can freely say when something of =
theirs
stinks (like PREVIOUS versions of front page...see Linda...I said
PREVIOUS<eg>). So I'm not censored in any way...other than an NDA not to
talk about things that are under that agreement.
That being said, I WOULD be under NDA for the beta...were it still in =
the
private beta version. But once they opened up the beta to 50,000 users =
to
preview, a lot of the original NDA items were also opened.
Now to your Q...realize that ALL versions of Outlook, at least as far =
back
as I can remember, anyway, have always had a visual notification option =
for
arriving email. You can Tools/Options and then dig down into alert =
options
and set a visual display alert. And yes...the newest version also has =
this
feature.

Being connected with Microsoft, you may not be allowed/permitted to =
answer
my inquiry, but I will try please.
I assume Office 2003 contains Outlook 2003. Will Outlook 2003 contain =
visual
(not audio) alerts that you have email? Being hearing impaired, if =
something
is not usable to me such as audio alearts, I don't use it. I have my =
Eudora,
for example, if I get an email from my aunt, it will auto-display her
picture and I know I have email from her. Of course I don't have =
everyone's
picture, nor do I want everyone's picture, but I have almost all of my
family, frat alumni, and a few of the people I graduated.
Thank you.
