Subject: [mountainmilers] Across the Years Ultra results/status
Just wanted to make sure everyone saw that Brenda Laurance covered 50.39 miles
in her first ultra event yesterday (24 hour version of Across the Years)!!!
Way to go Brenda, blisters and all (I hate when that happens). Just in time to
get a little rest before working tonight in Kirkland! YOU ARE A TROOPER.
CRAZY but a trooper nonetheless. Super job in your first Ultra. First
marathon and first ultra in the same month...WOW. Makes me wish I was 15 years
younger. OK, 30 years younger. Forget that - I will be retiring and living
the good life before all of you...MAYBE I ALREADY AM??? LOL.
Mark Hellenthal is still out there in the 72 hour version. Last year he logged
about 210 miles. He is at 116 this year with about 19 hours to go. Send him
some good JUJU (as Deborah Baker would say).
