Interesting developments...but rather doubt it would be doing very high 
speeds across to Scarborough...

To really let rip, it needs a run down to Doncaster or alternatively north, 
across the York Plain to Newcastle (which was always a high speed area) and 
perhaps also to other points further north near the Border...
