Alan, maybe doing it in the dark to test its spark arresting capability. A
test run at night is a necessary requirement for any loco to get a mainline
ticket.

I am told that Tornado is doing its first high speed run today.
Leave York at 18.18 and return Scarborough, 22.15.
A bit late for photos, which is a pity.
I assume the times are to slot in to other services.
