At one time there was talk of utilizing tides to generate electricity.
Incoming tide would turn generators in one direction and outgoing in the
other.  This would happen twice a day with a bit of slack between, but it
looked feasible.  Don't know why it was dropped unless it would present a
navigation hazard or possibly intefere with Teddy Kennedy's water sking and
sailing.  Maybe the lobster fishermen would be upset??
