Thanks for the comments, Peter and Alan.
Job will be (next time home) bore conrod for Hit n Miss engine. Â About 3-1/2"
between centres. Â Faceplate for me. Â Good practice (and practise)!

The size of the ones I've just done, the lathe wasn't an option. So they
were water jet cut close to size, and then finished in the milling machine
with a boring head before pushing the (ball) bearings in.

What is the concensus about making holes in conrods?Does the team still
mount them on the lathe faceplate to drill/bore/ream the big end and little
end holes, or do folks use the milling machine to perform the same
job?DaveSaudi-Arabia-On-Sea
