Thanks! That's good to know. I can't believe they' ve managed to make the upgrade process accessible throughout, that very impressive! What happens re files and email? Do you know if they're erased in the upgrade process?
Thanks,
Donna

It is streightforward to upgrade, put in the disc and follow the
accessible instructions, your system restarts a couple of times and
you can have vo all the way through. The new system enhances does not
replace the old with regard to voiceover from what I can gather from
the public info available from apple so all the commands you know and
love should still work.

I have wondered about this same thing, so I'll chime in here as well.

Given that it will only cost $10 to upgrade, cost is not so much my
concern I was more worried about the following two issues:
1. How complicated will it be to upgrade the system, both in terms of
procedure, and making sure no files/data is lost?

2. Will it be a waste of time to learn the current system, only to
have to relearn a new one when SL comes out?It sounds like the two
systems will be quite different.

Thanks in advance for any input on this.
Best,
Donna

I'd say wait for Snow Leopard, though if you do go out and buy one now
it's not like the price to upgrade will be a huge issue, only $29.
Your choice.

I've never used a mac before and don't have lots of experience. I was
wondering if I should just go out and buy one or wait till snow
leopard is
released?
