The computer that works, how does it get its ip, automatic or manually assigned?

Maybe try to restart the mac, ip problems can sometimes be solved that way after changing settings.

I've reset the DHCP and now the MBP connects to the router at 192.168.0.1, but when I tried to change the IPP6 address to manual, it's not letting me enter the same address. It still says no internet connection, and 4 bars, with the new IP address.
