Good morning list,
Ray, those keys are the same as the ones I used on a Lap Talk Windows PC I
got from Beyond Sight a few years ago. I am finding that some key
combinations are similar to Windows, except they use Command (which is
positioned in the same place as the Alt key in Windows.) I have the desktop
keyboard with the num pad on it, and it's remarkably similar to Windows, but
the design is better since the base is annodized aluminum.
One key I'm wondering about: what is the key immediately to the right of
F12? It's in the same group with Escape and the twelve PF keys, but I don't
know what it is. I looked at it with the optacon and it looks like a
triangle with a hyphen under it. Could it be backspace? I know it's not
PF13, because PF13 through 15 are in the group to the right, and PF16
through 19 are the top row of the num pad.
Looks like there are a few of us newbies on here, so I guess we can all
learn together. My Mac was shipped yesterday but won't be here till some
time next week.
If any of you need documentation, I have the Fusion document and the one
that discusses how to build a Windows virtual machine and move it to the
Mac; I suspect most dedicated Mac users aren't interested, but some time
down the road I plan to try doing it. If anyone is interested, I have these
in text format, converted from PDF files. I could send them to one of the
moderators so they can be placed on the macvoice site, since they can easily
be sent as attachments. They're freely available on the web so I doubt I'd
be violating copyright.
