[macvoiceover] iMac - sleep or shutdown?

Hi all,
I've had my iMac for 3 months now. I usually shut it down at the endof the day when I'm done using it, and wonder what other folks do? Do you all shut down your Macs each day or leave them running? Is one method preferable?
