To add apps to the doc: run them then go to the doc, the application will be there and runningpress down arrow to open the menu, and down arrow untl you hear keep in the dock
and then press enterKeeping them on the desktop wouldn't be that useful in my opinion, you would have to ceate an alias and then move it. If you copy an app from the applications folder to the desktop, you're going to copy the entire program, not just a shortcut like in windows. That doesn't make a lot of sense does it
