mplayer may be available on versiontracker.com but I haven't found it on that site just yet. I have linux working on this machine and mplayer is installed so if I can get an url to pass to mplayer on this box I'll try it out first. http://www.princessleia.com/MPlayer/ has codecs for mplayer that aren't necessarily shipped with Linux distributions and may have what's needed to make mplayer work in this case on the mac.
