I navigate my large library fairly well on the classic.  It's just a matter of 
memorizing the order things are in.  I also have a nanno, but I find it doesn't 
get the battery life that the classic does, and I like being able to carry all 
my music and movies in my pocket. :)
I also have an iPad and an iPhone, but again, neither device lets me put all my 
music, apps, etc, on it.
